Microfiber Vegan Leather
Production Process:
Similar to constructing a house in which materials used in its foundation play a crucial role in determining the house’s quality and value, a base / backing determines the durability and quality of a material.

Spraying & creating fibers
Two types of polymer: LDPE & PA6 are mixed and put though spinning under high heat and pressure to create long superfine fiber

Cutting:
Long fibers are cut into shorter ones and then are cross-lapped, carded using non-woven technology to create layers of fibers.

Needle punching
Fiber layers are put through needle punching machines to form 3D construction.

Dipping – PU impregnation
Non-woven microfiber base is dipped into polyurethane resin to make it softer and more versatile

LDPE Extraction:
LDPE in the superfine fibers is removed to make the fibers softer and looser. At this point, there are only PA6 and PU left in the base. Then it goes through washing, oiling and drying, and rubbing process to become a complete base.

Post processing for surface
Microfiber suede: is created by dyeing, buffing, and napping microfiber base
Microfiber simulated leather (with grains): is coated with polyurethane to create different colors and grains on top.
